Alex Humpel began to surf at the age of 14. His carreer is split between 2 passions, snowboard and windsurf. He was many times rewarded for his perfomances in Windsurf. In 1988 He participed to the „US open“ and took the first place. He was although 4 times in the top 6 of the contest "king of the lake freestyle master In 1989 he became the vice-champion of the world in his discipline.  Suddenly The year 2005 was an exceptional year in his career because he became the world champion of windsurf.
